Kim Kardashian is turning her knowlege of reality television into a career in production.
According to a new report, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star and mommy to daughter North West is working on a project with a friend titled Young Bosses, and planning to produce the series on her own.
“Kim has decided that it’s time to begin a new career without being under the thumb of her mother,” a Kardashian insider revealed to In Touch Weekly in Aug. 21. “Kris built a reality TV empire, and now Kim is planning to do the same — without her mother.”
The report claims Kardashian will produce the series, which will feature up-and coming entrepreneurs. It was not revealed which friend of Kardashian will be working with her on the show.
After appearing in three episodes of The Simple Life, alongside Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie, Kardashian went on to star in her family's reality show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, in 2006, and it has been on the air ever since. Kardashian also starred in two spinoffs of KUWTK, Kourtney & Kim Take Miami and Kourtney & Kim Take New York.
In addition to her roles on the KUWTK series, Kardashian has made guest appearances on several other reality shows, including Punk'd, Dancing With The Stars and America's Next Top Model.
Kardashian's mother, Kris Jenner, serves as executive producer on KUWTK and all the show's spinoffs, which also include Khloe & Lamar and Kourtney & Khloe Take The Hamptons.
