Jacqueline Laurita will soon return to Bravo.
Following a steady decline in the ratings for the sixth season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Laurita has reportedly been asked to return to the show for the last several episodes of the season.
"Jacqueline Laurita is back on the show. The reason -- it's been kinda ho-hum this season with no real conflict," TMZ reported on Aug. 7. "Producers say when Laurita is on she's great. They let her go because she was dealing with family issues at the time and she was so preoccupied she lost her edge."
Laurita was one of the five original housewives in New Jerey, along with Teresa Giudice, Danielle Staub, Caroline Manzo and Dina Manzo, who returned for the show's sixth season after quitting after season two. However, after season five, Laurita, who had failed to deliver drama because her focus was on her son's autism diagnosis, was reportedly fired.
After getting the boot from The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Laurita joined her sister-in-law, Caroline Manzo, who was filming her own Bravo spinoff, Manzo'd With Children.
Although Laurita appeared to be happy to move on from The Real Housewives of New Jersey, telling Life & Style in Feb. 2014 that she was in a "good place" and enjoying time with family, she will now reportedly return -- but in a lesser role.
“Jacqueline has only shot one scene so far, with Kathy Wakile,” an insider revealed to Radar Online. “She isn’t back as a series regular.”
