Jaime King recently opened up about her struggles to conceive.
On Friday, King opened up about her infertility issues on Instagram, telling fans about the heartache she endured while trying to start a family with her husband of six years, director Kyle Newman. In the candid social media post, the actress spoke of her many miscarriages, her difficult labor and her painful first moments as a parent.
On Instagram, according to a July 27 report by Life & Style, King wrote, "After 8 yrs of pain and undiagnosed PCOS & Endometriosis, 9 doctors until Dr. Randy Harris diagnosed me & saved my life from a severe ectopic, 5 miscarriages, 5 rounds of IVF, 26 IUI's, most with no outcome, 4½ years of trying to conceive."
After meeting in Jan. 2005 on the set of Fanboys, King and Newman began their relationship, and three months later, they moved in together. In early 2007, Newman proposed to King and on Nov. 23, 2007, they got married at Los Angeles' Greystone Manor, the same location where Newman asked for King's hand in marriage.
In May 2013, King confirmed, via her rep, that she and Newman were expecting their first child, and on Oct. 6, 2013, they welcomed son James Knight Newman. However, the birth did not come without conflict, as King explained in her Instagram post.
King continued, "26 hours of brutal labor, early delivery b/c of sudden preeclampsia, tearing and tearing after the stitches were in once I was home, milk supply issues, painful mastitis, uncontrollable crying while breast feeding."
Although King continues to struggle with infertility, she's determined to expand her family in the future and recently told InStyle, via Wetpaint Entertainment, that she would like to have three kids.
