Phaedra Parks will reportedly be seen in a reduced role on the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Following her husband's eight-year prison sentence for identity and bank fraud, Parks is said to be stepping back from her full-time role on the Bravo reality show in order to focus on her family.
"Parks will take a 'leave of absence' from the seventh season of RHOA that will start immediately," Rumorfix reported on July 25. "Sources reveal that the star does not want all her personal problems broadcast to the world, and has decided to leave so she can 'focus more on her family following Apollo’s imprisonment.'"
On July 8, Nida was sentenced to eight years in prison, followed by five years of supervised release, or parole. During his sentencing, Parks was not present. Instead, the reality star and mommy of two opted to go on vacation with friends.
Following Parks' sentencing snub, Nida appeared on Atlanta's B100, where he admitted to being "salty" and expressed his disappointment in Phaedra for not being a supportive wife. Nida also hinted that he and Parks' marriage may be over.
As for Parks' ongoing role on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Rumorfix's source claimed nothing is promised when it comes to the network moving forward with her on the show.
"Parks allegedly plans on coming back for season eight but show insiders say Bravo producers are not sure that they’ll even allow her to come back," the source added.
Nida is expected to turn himself into custody in the next few weeks.
