Selena Gomez Tattoo: Singer Debuts Arabic Quote On Her Back

Selena Gomez has a new tattoo.

Amid rumors that she and her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Justin Bieber, are off again, Gomez has debuted her latest tattoo, and according to reports, the ink is all about self love.

"Art by @bangbangnyc --from my first to my last. It's always this fool," Gomez wrote on her Instagram page, along with a photo of her new ink. In the picture, Gomez has her back facing the camera, and on it is an Arabic quote.

Although Gomez and Bieber were together one month ago, going to dinner, the movies and the zoo, their reunion was short-lived, and in recent photos, Bieber appears to have moved on with model Yovanna Ventura, whom he dated briefly earlier this year. After their split, Gomez has been focused on herself and her music, and her new tattoo appears to follow suit.

On July 16, E! News spoke with Gomez' tattoo artist, Bang Bang McCurdy, who confirmed that Gomez got her new ink "about a month ago," and added that "she had been wanting this one for a while."

"Its meaning translates to 'Love Yourself,'" McCurdy revealed to E! of the script, which appears to be an Arabic translation of "Love Yourself First."

"Selena already had it written out how she wanted," he continued. "The tattoo is about 4 inches, and didn't take too long, probably about 30-45 minutes. The longest part is laying it out. We played with it a bit laying it out, until we found the perfect spot."
