Now that the World Cup is over, let's take some time to reminisce on the highlights of this year's games--in particular, David Beckham, who was simply a part of the cheering crowd.
Beckham may have retired from soccer, but he's still finding ways to add a kick. This football god is has officially entered the spirits world by debuting a new whisky that's currently available in the United Kingdom reported Fox News on Monday.
In partnership with American Idol executive Simon Fuller, the legendary soccer stud created an alcoholic beverage flavored with hints of toffee and butterscotch called Haig Club Single Grain Scotch Whisky. At $77 per bottle, Beckham's whisky is not cheap. Fox points out the similarities betweeen the liquor's look and a cologne bottle--not suprising since Beckham is no stranger to fragrances.
But Beckham still appeals to the younger generation and this year he will be receiving the first Legend Award from the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Sports Awards, reported People on Friday.
"He exemplifies the qualities every kid aspires to achieve and his name is the first that comes to mind when we think of his sport," reports People.
