An Amber Portwood tell-all may be coming soon.
According to a new report, Portwood has revealed plans to write a book about her past hardships with drugs and mental illness, and how she got through to the other side.
"It’s a brutally honest account of how bad my life got,” Portwood, 24, revealed to In Touch Weekly, via Radar Online. “Addiction. Mental illness. Death. Divorce. Betrayal. Violence. Suicide attempts. Felony charges. Rehab. Drug overdoses. Jail. I’m going to tell you how it all happened.”
In June 2012, after failing to complete a court-ordered rehab program, Portwood was sentenced to a five-year prison stint. However, after 17 months behind bars in an Indiana prison, Portwood was granted an early release. Since Nov. 2013, Portwood has been working hard to stay clean and sober, and be the best parent she can be to her 5-year-old daughter, Leah.
“I’m living proof that it’s never too late to change your life for the better,” Portwood said.
In addition to working on her new book, Portwood is also reportedly working on a Teen Mom return with at least two of her co-stars.
While Catelynn Lowell and Maci Bookout are said to be returning, along with Portwood, in the new installment of Teen Mom, an E! News source claimed MTV was steering clear of Farrah Abraham "because of what she's done in the last couple of years."
Portwood's new book is titled Never Too Late. No word yet on whether or not she's found a publisher.
