Olivia Palermo is a married woman.
After six years together, the former City star and her model boyfriend, Johannes Huebl, tied the knot in Bedford, New York on Sat., June 28. Following the ceremony, Palermo took to her style blog, where she spoke of her exciting news.
"We really wanted to keep this beautiful day very private and special to us and enjoyed the whole day with our family and two friends," Palermo said of the wedding. "Bedford is such an amazing and romantic countryside.”
Fans first met Palermo in 2008 on MTV's The City. On the show, Palermo was featured as one of Port's colleagues at Diane Von Furstenberg. Although the pair started out as friends, they never really got close and Palermo was often seen at odds with her fellow co-stars. During the show's run, Palermo was signed by Wilhelmina Models and launched her own style blog.
On her wedding day, Palermo, who was named Best Dressed New Yorker in 2012, wore an unconventional look, which consisted of a cashmere sweater, shorts and a sheer skirt -- all white. Her makeup was simple, with a light lip and neutral eye shadow. In her ears were pearls and on her wrist, she wore a bracelet with a few colored stones.
“I wanted the makeup to be light and fresh and more focused about the lashes while keeping the eyes clean," she wrote. "My hair was in an uncontrived Pony Tail, one of my favorite personal looks.”
For her shoes, Palermo wore the same blue Manolo Blahniks that Carrie Bradshaw had on when she married Mr. Big in a civil ceremony in the Sex and the City movie.
