Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott are reportedly planning to renew their vows for a second time.
After first renewing their vows in May 2010 for an episode of Tori & Dean, Spelling and McDermott will once again walk down the aisle, but according to a new report, they may not be doing it for the right reasons.
“They are going to renew their vows,” an insider close to the couple revealed to Life & Style on June 5. “But it’s not for them, it’s for ratings and money.”
Married since 2006, Spelling and McDermott recently hit a rough point in their marriage. On Dec. 26, 2013, Us Weekly released a report, claiming a woman named Emily Goodhand had come forward, detailing her sexual encounter with McDermott, which happened earlier that month in Canada, where he was filming the first season of Chopped Canada. Months later, McDermott admitted to the affair on his wife's Lifetime documentary, True Tori, a series which chronicled the former Beverly Hills, 90210 star's life post-scandal.
Since True Tori's last episode of season one, "Confessions," is scheduled for next Tues., June 10 and the show has yet to be renewed for a second season, it is unclear whether the vow renewal will air on Tuesday or at a later date in the form of a possible True Tori special.
“Tori and Dean think they have everyone fooled,” the insider told the mag. “It is just completely fake. Together, Tori and Dean are a cash cow. That’s why they’ll stay together.”
