Lisa Vanderpump is reportedly on the verge of quitting The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Ahead of filming on the fifth season of the show, Vanderpump, a restaurateur, is allegedly having second thoughts about returning to the series -- and to the women who teamed up against her during season four. However, Real Housewives creator Andy Cohen isn't about to let Vanderpump walk away.
"Andy Cohen is fighting tooth and nail to keep [Vanderpump], using Lance Bass as his secret weapon," a source revealed to TMZ on May 27. "Andy and Lance double teamed Lisa at her Beverly Hills restaurant PUMP over the weekend in a last ditch effort to get her to come back for the next season of RHOBH disguising their attack as a casual dinner date."
During season four, Vanderpump was accused of manipulating cast members, including former friends Brandi Glanville and Kyle Richards, into saying and doing things that would rile up other cast members. Although Vanderpump denies doing anything of the sort, the issue became a main storyline throughout the year.
According to the report, Vanderpump has not yet signed on for season five and has informed Cohen that she's fed up with the series, mainly because of last seasons' drama. As a result, Cohen is "extremely nervous" about possibly losing Vanderpump, who has long been a fan favorite on the series.
On their dinner date, Cohen reportedly spent most of their time together trying to convince Vanderpump to remain on the show, but at this point, it isn't clear whether or not his efforts were successful.
