Adrienne Maloof's Ex-Husband Is Dying Of Cancer: Former 'RHOBH' Devastated By News Of Steve Marks Jr.'s Illness

Adrienne Maloof is devastated over her ex-husband's grim diagnosis.

Maloof was recently left in tears and inconsolable after discovering that her ex-husband, Steve Marks Jr., had reportedly been diagnosed with cancer—and that because of the late diagnosis, doctors would not be able to save his life.

"Unlike her second husband, Paul Nassif, Steve was a nice guy, who really loved Adrienne and wouldn't do anything to hurt her," a close family friend told MailOnline.

Maloof and Marks Jr., a real estate developer, got married when they were just 20 years old, and although they split up just one year later after realizing they were too young for marriage, they remained close friends and have stayed in touch ever since.

Throughout Maloof's marriage to her second husband, Dr. Paul Nassif, and new relationship with Jacob Busch, 24, she and Marks Jr. have spoke to each other regularly, and while Maloof has finally found happiness with Busch, her joy has been cut short by Marks Jr.'s devastating news.

Even after receiving a large diamond ring over the Valentine's holiday, Maloof's spirits have been down after hearing that her ex-husband is now on his deathbed.

"Its a beautiful green diamond, and she is thrilled, but now one of her longest and dearest friends is dying and she said it's hard to see him suffer like this," the source explained. "Adrienne told me love never goes away. You just continue your journey knowing. The thoughts never go away. Because it's an authentic relationship and he is really going to be missed."
