Ramona Singer Calls Off Divorce, Will Attend Marriage Counseling With Husband Mario

Ramona Singer and her husband Mario have reportedly called off their divorce.

The Real Housewives of New York City star filed for divorce in Jan. 2014 after discovering her husband was having an affair, but after much thought, the pair have decided to work on their marriage in couple's counseling.

“Mario and Ramona have been having very long and thoughtful talks about the state of their marriage. It has been a very painful process for both,” an insider revealed to Radar Online on April 22. “But Ramona realizes how much she loves Mario. This will give them time to determine if there is enough love and most importantly, trust, to move forward.”

Last summer, it was reported that Mario had engaged in an affair with New York socialite Kasey Dexter -- and that he had fathered a child which she later aborted. Then, in early Jan. 2014, Ramona reportedly caught Mario cheating at the Southampton home they shared. During their run-in, Mario allegedly choked Ramona, leading her to call the police. Weeks later, she filed for divorce, requesting she be granted both of their homes in the split.

Although things between Ramona and Mario appeared to be over, they soon began spending time together once again, first with their daughter Avery, and then by themselves. Just this month, the pair were seen holding hands during an outing at New York City's Lavo.

Still, Ramona isn’t prepared to “formally withdraw the divorce petition at this point,” the source added. “It definitely looks like it’s headed in that direction, but she is being very smart about it.”
