Nick Carter tied the knot this weekend, but for some reason his brother Aaron was not a part of the celebration.
According to his rep, Aaron had planned to attend the ceremony, which took place in Santa Barbara, overlooking the ocean, but because of an issue with his flight back to California from Washington, D.C., he didn't make it home in time.
"Aaron had a contract to appear at the Cherry Blossom Festival in D.C. before Nick set his wedding date. Even though he was obligated to fulfill his contract, Aaron still wanted to make the wedding," Aaron's rep said in a statement to E! News. "There was a team of six people who worked to put together a plan to get him to Santa Barbara by the reception so he could at least participate in the celebration."
Just months ago, Nick missed the wedding of his sister (and Aaron's twin), Angel Carter, who married Corey Conrad at Newhall Mansion in Piru, Calif., on Saturday, Feb. 8. However, his excuse was a bit different. Instead of missing the ceremony because of events he could not control, Nick scheduled a joint bachelor/bachelorette party with his now-wife Lauren Kitt on the same day, thus making it impossible for him to attend.
When Nick skipped out on the ceremony, during which he was supposed to walk Angel down the aisle, rumors of a family feud immediately began to swirl. Still, there didn't appear to be any bad blood between Aaron and Nick.
"He was on his way when his US Airways plane experienced mechanical difficulties in Pittsburgh and they became grounded there. So he never made it," Aaron's rep continued of his attempts at making it to Nick's wedding. "Aaron was legitimately busting his ass to make it to his brother's wedding. He felt awful and had every intention of being there."
As for whether or not Angel was in attendance, that has yet to be confirmed. But since the wedding is set to air in a yet-to-be announced series, fans may soon find out.
