Rachel Zoe is done with television.
After giving birth to two children, the stylist turned reality star is ready to step out of the limelight and focus on her family.
“The transformation has been a slow but profound one and it is definitely sticking,” a close source told Radar Online on April 5. “Rachel is an awesome mother and has really grown into it with grace and flair, but something had to give, which is why she axed her reality show – and she’s very glad she did.”
In Sept. 2008, after making a name for herself as the stylist to the stars (including Nicole Richie, Demi Moore, Lindsay Lohan, and Cameron Diaz), Zoe made her reality TV debut in Bravo's The Rachel Zoe Project. In early seasons, fans watched as Zoe and her husband, Rodger Berman, planned for a family. Then, in March 2011, they welcomed their first child, son Skyler Morrison. In Dec. 2013, Zoe and Berman welcomed a second son, Kaius "Kai" Jagger.
“Rachel’s tired of being a famous face and is doubling down on her fashion expertise and her so-so selling line,” the source explained. “She’s turning down offers from networks for new shows. With the new baby, she says she’d have had a meltdown if she was still doing ‘Project.’”
However, just because Zoe is ready to focus her time and energy on growing family doesn't mean she's ready to walk away from her career all together. Instead, she'll simply be cutting back in certain areas in order to make more time for her husband and kids.
“Rachel isn’t giving up on continuing to be the premiere trendsetter in town and has had huge triumphs with Jennifer Lawrence, but right now Rachel’s completely in love with her kids and says it tears her up if she’s not in the same room as them,” the source added.
The Rachel Zoe Project ran for five seasons on Bravo from Sept. 2008 to April 2013.
