Naomi Campbell wants to be a mom.

Currently single, the longtime model is determined to have a family -- even if that means doing it without a man.

In a new interview with designer Diane Von Furstenberg, Campbell opened up about her baby fever and touched on the subject of anorexia in models.

"I do want to have children, whether I have a man or not," Campbell told von Furstenberg on Tues., March 11. "I will have it on my own."

In 2008, at the beginning of Campbell's five-year relationship with Russian businessman Vladislav Doroninin (which came to an end in 2013), Campbell discovered she was infertile and opted to undergo surgery to fix the issue that same year.

"They thought it was a cyst," Campbell said of the surgery, which had taken place six months earlier. "When they opened it up they realized it was more. I was not able to have children up until March. Now it's in God's hands. I would love to have a family."

Following the surgery, the 43-year-old Campbell has been in good health and now, it's up to her to take the necessary steps to have a baby, in whichever way she chooses to do so.

Also during the chat with von Furstenberg, Campbell addressed the issue of anorexia in the modeling industry, telling the fashion designer that the industry shouldn't be blamed -- the models should. After all, if they are choosing to not eat, that is on them.

"I've never seen a designer in my whole 28 years say to someone, 'Go on a diet, lose weight,'" Campbell explained. "You have to be responsible for your own actions. So if you decide you don't want to eat because you feel like you have to be like this, that's all up to you."
