Tori Spelling, Dean McDermott Divorce Rumors: Mom Candy Is Against Split Despite Cheating Claims

Tori Spelling's husband Dean McDermott may have reportedly cheated on her in Dec. 2013, but according to her mom, Candy Spelling, Tori shouldn't pursue a divorce.

Although Candy doesn't condone what McDermott has done, she knows that deep down, he is a loving husband and father.

"Candy certainly is not a big fan of Dean at the moment, because of the hell he has put her daughter through, but she does recognize that he is a great father and he does love Tori," a source revealed to Radar Online on Feb. 18. 

In addition to that, McDermott is also currently in rehab where he is addressing "health and personal issues," hoping to come out of treatment a better man.

"Tori finally confided with her mom, about her ultimate fear that Dean could cheat on her again in the future. It was a very open and honest conversation," the source explained. "At the end of it, Candy told her daughter, 'You will never know unless you try.' Since Dean did decide to get help, Candy thought that he at least deserved another chance."

In Dec. 2013, after the reports of McDermott's affair hit the web, speculation began to swirl regarding a possible divorce - especially after Spelling was seen without her wedding ring on. However, a short time later, the ring was back on and Spelling began sharing photos of herself and McDermott as if they were one big, happy family.

Then, on Jan. 23, McDermott entered rehab, telling the media that he was "truly sorry for the mistakes I've made and for the pain I've caused my family."

"She is going to forgive him, but will never forget what happened," the Radar source added. "The real question is going to be if Tori can ever trust Dean again."

Spelling and McDermott have four kids together and have been married since May 7, 2006. Prior to their marriage, Spelling had been married to Charlie Shanian and mcDermott was married to Mary Jo Eustace. Spelling  and Shanian's divorce was finalized less than one month prior to her wedding to McDermott and McDermott's marriage didn't officially end until after his and Spelling's relationship began.
