Mick Jagger's daughter Jade, and her daughter, Assisi, have become pregnant at the same time.
"Happy to announce this granny is going to become a mummy," 42-year-old Jade wrote on Instagram last week. "I'm 6 months pregnant xx double whammy this year."
In addition to Jade expecting her own baby, she's also expecting her first grandbaby, who will be born to her 21-year-old daughter, Assisi, which means Mick is about to become a great-grandfather for the first time, and a grandfather once more.
Jewelry designer Jade is married to Adrian Fillary, a DJ and music festival promoter. After getting engaged in Jan. 2012, the pair wed at Aynhoe Park, Banbury, Oxfordshire, on June 30, 2012.
Jade's daughter Assisi, who was born to Jade and her ex-boyfriend Piers Jackson (with whom she also had another daughter, Amba), is pregnant by her chef boyfriend, Alex. She said last year that giving birth at a young age runs in her family.
"The women in our family just tend to have children young, it runs in the genes," she said during an interview with Hello Magazine at the end of last year. "I grew up quite quickly and wouldn't have considered having a child if I was doing what my friends are doing at this stage, messing around. I don't drink, I don't smoke and I'm very settled."
When Assisi delivered the exciting news to Mick she said he was thrilled to be expanding the family. "He said, 'Well done,' and I said, 'I didn't have to try too hard,'" she recalled.
However, that doesn't mean he's ready to ditch the "Mick" and start going by the name, "Grandpa."
"I imagine it's nice to be a great-grandad - although I'm not sure he likes the idea of getting old, or being called one," Assisi said. "I call him Mick - I wouldn't start calling him grandpa."
