Amid the drama surrounding their co-parenting relationship, Adrienne Maloof requested a restraining order against her ex-husband Dr. Paul Nassif last week, according to media reports.
TMZ reported on Feb. 17 that Maloof went to court on Friday, claiming that Nassif had "violently snatched her phone away from her the week before while she was photographing her kids."
Nassif, on the other hand, tells a different story. He claims that although he and Maloof did have a confrontation, it was Maloof who was the aggressor.
"Nassif claims in legal docs Adrienne was actually trying to film him while he was disciplining one of their kids ... to use the footage against him during their ongoing custody battle," the report stated. "He says she was all up in his face with the camera, almost hitting him."
Upon arriving to court, Maloof was hoping for an emergency restraining order, which would go into effect immediately, but the judge on the case didn't seem to see any reason that Maloof would need protection.
Instead, the judge set up a future hearing where the issue will be addressed.
This isn't the first time Maloof has accused Nassif of violence. In late 2012, following their split, Maloof alleged that Nassif spanked and choked her kids (the claims were unfounded by the Department of Child And Family Services).
The ex-couple split in the summer of 2012, and on Nov. 8, 2012, their divorce was settled.
Maloof and Nassif are due back in court in April.
