When Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie announced their separation on Jan. 10, 2014, they promised to "remain best friends," and now seems they have done just that. In addition to spending family time with their son, two-year-old Luca, around the country, they have also embarked on a joint Valentine's Day vacation.
On Thurs., Feb. 13, Duff and Comrie posed together with Luca for a vacation photo from their tropic getaway. Along with the photo, Duff included the hash tags, "Modern Family," and "Vacation." On Friday, Duff shared another photo, this time of the sand in which she had written, "Happy Valentine's Day," and made a few family footprints.
On the day prior to their January split, Duff and Comrie were together at a Los Angeles park with their son, enjoying family time, which continued after the announcement of the separation. Days later, they enjoyed a family lunch at the Four Seasons Hotel. They have also been seen as a family in New York City.
Duff and Comrie wed on August 14, 2010, after three years of dating. On March 20, 2012, Duff gave birth to their son, Luca Cruz Comrie.
"Hilary Duff and husband Mike Comrie have mutually decided to an amicable separation," Duff's rep said of their January split. "They remain best friends and will continue to be in each other's lives. They are dedicated to loving and parenting their amazing son, and ask for privacy at this time."
