Ramona Singer says she's doing just fine after filing for divorce from husband Mario.
"I'm doing great," Singer told E! News while attending the Zang Toi fashion show on Wednesday, Feb. 12. "My daughter just finished her first semester of college and got straight A's."
Singer filed for divorce last month after her husband Mario's affair was made public. Her daughter, Avery, is in New York City with her mother, but unlike what recent reports have claimed, she has not snubbed her father during the visit from Atlanta. According to Singer, Avery "spent time with me and she spent time with her dad."
As for how she is staying positive amid the divorce, Singer revealed that her friends have played a major part.
"You know, it's a lot about meeting my girlfriends for lunch," she said. "Like tomorrow is going to be a snow day. I've invited about 10 friends over to have some Ramona Pinot Grigio and have a long lunch. We'll start at 2 and we'll end at 8 at night!"
Singer has also been playing a bigger part on The Real Housewives of New York, which returns to Bravo for its sixth season on March 11.
"I'm really excited, because I got more involved with production," Ramona said. "I'm a businesswoman and I like to get involved and entrenched in whatever I do. And now, after having done the show for six seasons, I really understand what makes it work. It's not scripted, but as you get involved on a producing level, you need to create storylines. So, I was very involved behind the scenes in encouraging the women to speak about things they wouldn't normally speak about."
After catching her husband with another woman, socialite Kasey Dexter, Singer chose to end her marriage, and around the same time, Mario reportedly ended his relationship with Dexter as well. According to reports, Mario dumped Dexter after their affair went public, but while many thought it was an attempt at saving his marriage, it doesn't appear to have worked either way.
