Fergie Dishes On Her New Fragrance, Baby Axl

Fergie launched her first fragrance, Outspoken for Avon, in 2010, and since then has released three more. However, even her hand-picked fragrances don't hold a flame to her favorite smell of all, the smell of her five-month-old son, Axl Jack Duhamel.

“Nothing smells as good as my baby’s skin,” Fergie told PEOPLE Magazine on Jan. 31. “I could just inhale him.”

On Wednesday, Fergie's worlds collided when she shared an Instagram photo of herself and Axl from the set of her latest photo shoot for Outspoken. In the photo, Fergie was seen holding her son while rocking a red sequined mini-dress and black and white heels.

"It was a lot of fun,” Fergie said of the shoot, adding that while there, she found herself reminiscing about her favorite past smells.

“I do remember that I loved the scent of my boyfriend, [when I was a teen and] had a lot of hormones going on. He would always wear Drakkar Noir. I was so obsessed I bought it and wore it myself,” she said. “I don’t think a lot of guys are wearing it these days, but it totally brings me back [when I smell it]. I’ve stopped people before and asked if they were wearing it. Fragrance is memory. It’s definitely about nostalgic memory for each individual person.”

Nowadays, Fergie sticks with Avon when it comes to her fragrances of choice. It is an “expression of who you are, like picking out your clothes,” she explained. “Black leather is Outspoken. Outspoken Intense is glitz, more sparkle. More like a power suit. If I could create fragrances in outfits that’s what they would be.”

In addition to her work with Avon, Fergie is also preparing to release her second studio album. Earlier this month, it was confirmed that Fergie has begun working on the album, which will be produced by Fergie's Black Eyed Peas bandmate will.i.am and released later this year.
