Ramona Singer and her husband Mario are reportedly over for good. According to a new report, the Real Housewives of New York City star has filed for divorce after 27 years of marriage and one child together.
On Jan. 29, Page Six reported that court documents had revealed Ramona filed for divorce from Mario on Tuesday in New York City after catching him with another woman, socialite Kasey Dexter, at their Southampton home over the weekend.
In a statement to Page Six, Ramona said, "This is a personal and private matter for our family. For my daughter Avery's sake, I would appreciate everyone respecting our privacy during this difficult time."
Also on Wednesday, Ramona tweeted a quote to fans, which read, "Look for something positive about today. Even if you have to look a little harder than usual, it still exists."
In October, Page Six published a story which claimed Mario had been cheating on Ramona with Kasey Dexter after meeting her in a party in the summer of 2013 -- and that Mario had actually gotten her pregnant during the affair. Although the socialite didn't go through with the pregnancy, opting instead to have an abortion (which Mario reportedly paid for), she and Mario continued to see each other in secret.
At the time, it was said that Ramona had told her costars that if Mario was cheating, she didn't want to know.
Now that Ramona is ready to end her marriage, she's wasting no time getting back into the dating game and living life as a single woman. In fact, according to a Jan. 29 report by Us Weekly, Ramona has already been spotted out with another man.
"They were leaning in towards each other the whole dinner. They were holding each other's hands at one point and he had his hand on her back as they were walking out," an insider claimed. "They were just overall very touchy with each other all throughout dinner. They didn't look like they were trying to hide the affection other than the fact there was no kissing."
