Ramona Singer And Husband Mario Were United For Weeks, Leading Up To Their Separation

Ramona Singer and her husband Mario were reportedly involved in a domestic dispute over the weekend after the Real Housewives of New York star found Mario at their Southampton home with another woman. However, in the weeks leading up to the incident, and the separation that followed, the couple were very much united.

“She’s denied it everyone in her inner circle, basically, that it’s not happening,” a source told Celebuzz on Jan. 28. “She’s willing to do anything she can to hold on to that image, including telling everyone how great her marriage is.”

They even attended a party together just weeks ago, and appeared to be completely happy with one another. “They were the happy couple on New Year’s Eve partying at a country club in New Jersey,” added the source.

During another party, about two weeks ago, Ramona and Mario ran into their former friend and costar, Jill Zarin, and things took a turn for the worst -- but not between them. Instead, it was Jill and Mario who engaged in a heated debate.

“He verbally assaulted her at a party to the point where Jill was shaking and her husband had to save her, yet again,” the eyewitness claimed. “He told Mario to get away from his wife because he seemed drunk and was out of line. Jill felt unsafe and thought he was going to get physical.”

Apparently, the fight began after Mario confronted Jill about her recent allegation that he had hit on her. “I wouldn’t f**k you if you were the last woman on earth,” Mario reportedly yelled at Jill, also adding that “her 15 minutes of fame are up.”

Another source claims Mario and the 32-year-old woman he's rumored to be currently dating, Kasey Dexter, attended Marc Leder's Hamptons party last July -- and Ramona was there as well.

“Her [Dexter's] friends were telling people about the affair because Mario kept coming over to the apartment. And her roommate wanted him out. Rumor at the party was Mario even went upstairs to the bedroom with her," said the eyewitness. "He was all over her in front of Ramona. It was so disrespectful. If my husband did that, I’d divorce him.”

According to the source, Mario has changed a lot since he and his wife began filming The Real Housewives of New York. While he used to be a dedicated husband and father, he now appears to be going through some sort of mid-life crisis, with his eyes on much younger women.

“Mario’s ego got so big because he got famous. And young girls think he’s got the money,” added the source. “If it hadn’t been for the show, they’d probably be unhappily married because I don’t think anyone would look twice at him.”
