Brandi Glanville has gone through a rough fourth season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. From her yelling matches with Joyce Giraud to her emotional breakdown in front of Lisa Vanderpump, the season has come with its ups and downs, and in a new blog entry, Glanville is explaining why she has been so on edge.

“Family is everything to me, and when we are not OK, I am not OK… My dad overthinks everything — and I don’t think about things enough. He and I have always butted heads, but we usually resolved things right away,” Brandi began in her Bravo blog on Jan. 21.

According to Glanville, she started acting out on the show because of the depression she experienced as a result of her and her father's fallout and his having to undergo heart surgery.

“He had heart surgery in the past, and his heart now [seemed] to be relapsing to the point he would need surgery again. He couldn’t even walk across a room [without] getting out of breath. For my dad, who is a very active person, this was very depressing,” she recalled.

As Guy Glanville's health deteriorating, the arguments between them became more frequent.

One of their arguments was over Glanville's Oscars dress, which didn't leave much to the imagination. Following that particular feud, Glanville and her father stopped talking, and “not just for a few days this time but for almost five months.”

“I tried my hardest to make up with him to no avail, and I felt very alone. My dad is the only man in my life that I’ve always been able to count on and now he was gone. I was sad," she explained. “And then Chica went missing and I fell into an even darker place. When my kids would leave to go to their dad’s, I felt that sadness I felt during my divorce creeping back up on me. I definitely leaned on the neck of a bottle of wine or two when I was feeling lost and alone.”

Now, Glanville says she's staying more balanced with the help of a prescription.

“Thank God I’m back on my happy pill and in a much better place now.”
