Victoria Beckham and the ladies of the Spice Girls came together for the 2012 London Olympic Games where they performed at the event's closing ceremonies. And now, the performance is confirmed to be their last.
In a new interview, Beckham has revealed that while she enjoyed her time with the group, she has no plans of reuniting with Emma Bunton, Melanie Chisholm, Geri Halliwell, and Melanie Brown, ever again.
"I won't ever do it again," Beckham explained in the new issue of Vanity Fair Italy and Spain. "Doing the Olympics was an incredible honor. I was so proud to do it, proud to be British. That was a perfect time to say, 'That's great. Thank you to everybody, but no more. Sometimes you've got to know when it's time to leave the party."
Although Beckham won't be doing another reunion with the Spice Girls, she continues to be a fan of what the group stood for, which was the celebration of women. In fact, Beckham says that their goals as a group are what inspired her to continue celebrating women with the creation of her own clothing line.
"The Spice Girls were successful because we celebrated women," Beckham said. "That's why I do what I do today."
Just last year, Beckham's husband, David, announced that he was retiring from soccer. In Vanity Fair, Beckham opened up about his decision and her excitement to be getting more time with him.
"It was very emotional. We were so proud. He couldn't have given more to the sport than he did," she said. "After so many years, we have shared - and continue to share - him with so many people. So it's nice to have him home."
