In the January edition of Bello magazine, True Blood star Joe Manganiello talked about his workout regime and how much he loves exercising.
He said that it is because workout gives back as much as you put in and that it is something that he can control.
"There's really nothing else on the planet - nothing that I've come across - that gives you as much back as you put in as the gym does.
"There are so many things that are out of your control in this business, and I think in life in general. And one of the things that I really do have in my control is how hard, how much effort I put into the gym," he told the publication.
His toned body is one of the things that launched his career in the industry. He said that if he gets paid to do something, he would want to deliver his end of the bargain. In his True Blood character, he said that he wanted him to look right.
"I think [werewolf Alcide Herveaux] should look that way. As a kid watching all those movies and reading comic books, the chance for me to play a supernatural character...I want him to look right."
The 6-foot-5, 230-pound Spider-Man actor has been busy promoting his new book Evolution: The Cutting Edge Guide to Breaking Down Walls and Building the Body You've Always Wanted, which was released on Tuesday, Dec. 3 last year. In his book, he shared his childhood experiences and even showed a picture when he was a scrawny child. He maintains his toned body with trainer Ron Matthews, who is also known to train celebrities like Hugh Jackman, Orlando Bloom, Stephen Dorff, Jennifer Garner and Eva Mendes.
