Kylie Jenner Responds To Rumors That She's Dating Jaden Smith For Publicity

Kylie Jenner has been spotted together on and off for months now. However, according to the high-profile couple, they are just friends. Despite all of the cozy photos that have surfaced, including one which featured Jaden's arms around Kylie during a shopping trip, the pair insists that their relationship is strictly platonic, but now, they are facing even more rumors, this time regarding Kylie using Jaden for fame.

In a Jan. 10 report by Hollywood Life, it was said that Kris Jenner, Kylie's mom, screens all of her and Kendall's boyfriends and will allow them only to date if the man is famous and compatible.

According to the report, potential love interests need to "meet up with Kris Jenner and she must give her 100 percent blessing," their source claimed. "Anyone that is about to date them must provide something more than just compatibility emotionally."

On Saturday, Kylie took to Twitter where she addressed the rumors, telling fans, "The fact that some people actually believe I would waste my time dating someone as a publicity stunt." The tweet was favorited by over 14,000 people.

Speaking to Seventeen Magazine for this month's issue, Kylie denied dating Jaden, calling him her "best guy friend" and revealing her wishes for a boyfriend for prom.

"I don't have a boyfriend, but I do really want that boyfriend prom experience," Kylie told the mag. "I would want to go with someone who's not afraid, or doesn't think that he's too cool, to show up at my house with a rose corsage. It would be nice for the guy to come over and be respectful and nice while my mom takes prom pics. But if I couldn't find a boyfriend, I would want to go with one of my best guy friends, like Jaden [Smith]. I know I'd have fun with him -- he makes me laugh and he is a great dancer."
