David Cassidy was arrested last night for drunk driving in Los Angeles.
According to a TMZ report, Cassidy was pulled over after exiting the 405 Freeway when cops witnessed him making an illegal turn onto a surface street. When the cops approached his vehicle, they immediately smelled alcohol and ordered him out of the car where they administered a field sobriety test.
After failing the sobriety test, Cassidy was then given a breathalyzer test, which he also failed, blowing a 0.19 BAC, which is over twice the legal limit in the state of California.
Cassidy was arrested, booked for DUI, and released hours later.
This is the third DUI for Cassidy in the last couple of years.
In August of last year, Cassidy was pulled over in upstate New York after cops witnessed him using his high beams when he wasn't supposed to. Once cops arrived to his vehicle and detected the smell of alcohol, they gave him a field sobriety test as well as a breathalyzer test. He failed both, this time with a 0.1 BAC, and was arrested and charged with DUI.
Prior to the New York incident, Cassidy had been arrested on charges of DUI in the state of Florida in 2010. At that time, he blew a 0.14 BAC. According to the police report, a half-empty bottle of bourbon was found under the seat of Cassidy's Mercedes, and Cassidy also admitted to taking a Vicodin pill three hours earlier.
While the fate of Cassidy won't be revealed until his next court date, TMZ suspects that he will "almost certainly get jail time."
