Ke$ha has gone to rehab.
The "Crazy Kids" singer announced on Friday that she would be "unavailable" for the next 30 days as she gets treatment for an eating disorder.
"I'm a crusader for being yourself and loving yourself, but I've found it hard to practice," Ke$ha told Us Weekly. "I'll be unavailable for the next 30 days, seeking treatment for my eating disorder ... to learn to love myself again, exactly as I am."
According to the site, Ke$ha is receiving treatment at Timberline Knolls rehab center in Illinois, the same treatment center that Demi Lovato checked into in 2010 to deal with her "physical and emotional issues."
On Twitter this week, Ke$ha appeared positive, even getting a happy-face tattoo, which she debuted to fans on the social network. "Happy new year!!!! get it?" she asked fans along with the photo.
Then, she gave a small clue as to what was in store for her in the upcoming weeks. "Cheers to this year being the best year ever," she wrote. "2014 gon be the year of truth and freedom."
Ke$ha, who has gone up and down in weight in the years she's been in the industry, opened up about being vegetarian in 2010. "I just love animals, and I'm an advocate for animals rights, and my family has rescued dogs from all over the world," she explained. "I don't believe in animal testing. If you see me in fur, it's always fake. Sometimes you see me wearing skulls, but those are all from roadkill."
