Joyce Giraud is seen in the opening credits of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills telling viewers, "In Beverly Hills, they say you can never be too young, too thin, or too rich." Joyce's "too thin" comment seemed out of line and didn't sit well with her co-stars.

However, according to an interview two months ago, she wasn't the one who picked it.

"I'm already upset at my tagline because it's not me, and I didn't pick it," the actress told Entertainment Weekly back in November, claiming, "They give you all these tag lines, and you take them, and then they pick."

"Here I am as a newbie, playing ball and taping what you're telling me to tape. But I'm asking you to not pick this, and you pick it," she said. "I was bullied as a young girl for these things you're putting in my tagline: I grew up feeling ugly, feeling bad about myself for being too skinny."

While it didn't seem far-fetched to think that Bravo would have chosen Joyce's tagline, it became far more difficult to believe that they actually did after watching Monday night's episode of the show.

During the episode, Joyce paid a visit to Kyle Richards' boutique, Kyle By Alene Too in Beverly Hills, and when one of her sample dresses didn't fit her, Joyce made a very familiar statement, telling Kyle, "You can never be too thin, too rich or too sexy." If it was Bravo who first put those words in Joyce's mouth, allegedly against her will, would she have repeated them? Many of her co-stars think not.

"Joyce saying you can never be too thin really bothered me, because in fact you can," Brandi Glanville wrote in her weekly blog. "Young women have enough problems with eating disorders like anorexia and bulimia, and then to have an ex-beauty queen perpetuate that one can never be to thin is just wrong."

Carlton Gebbia added, "Joyce, didn't you just blame others for your tag line? Girls out there are dangerously anorexic. So yes Joyce you can be too too thin, if you're promoting anorexia."

In her own Bravo blog, Joyce attempted to retract her statement. "I am more than aware how superficial this quote is, but it is used more as a running gag in Beverly Hills than taken seriously," she explained. "Trust me if I could, I would love to take that line back!"
