It was only three weeks ago when Jen Arnold revealed that she had a rare form of cancer. Now, she has begun chemotherapy.
On Friday, the TV personality tweeted a photo of herself with the caption: “Day2 inpatient chemo- sleeping alot, liking new anti nausea med this time, & looking to get home today!”
The picture was apparently taken from the hospital where the 39-year-old star is being treated. It shows the side of her personality that most people love: optimism and bravery. After the Little Couple star announced her illness, People magazine reported on Dec. 11, 2013 that she was diagnosed with stage 3 choriocarcinoma. This is a rare form of cancer that developed during the non-viable pregnancy she had in September.
The publication also reported that the treatment that began yesterday, had been postponed for a week because of low blood counts. However, the TV actress seemed to have looked at the bright side and said that at least it was a “better Christmas.” She even tweeted: “Cancelled chemo= feeling better for holiday= energy for baking Christmas cookies with kids & @ReallyBillKlein- Life doesn't get much better!"
“I am very fortunate as the prognosis is very good,” Arnold said to E! after she announced her illness. “Being surrounded by the love of my husband and our two beautiful children is actually in many ways giving me the strength to fight it even stronger.”
