Khloé Kardashian Files for Divorce From Lamar Odom

Khloe Kardashian filed for divorce from Lamar Odom on Friday, December 13.

Kardashian filed the papers in Los Angeles and cited irreconcilable differences. She also asked the court to legally change her name back to Kardashian. She took her husband's last name at the time of their marriage in October 2009.

A source close to Odom told E! News that he was upset that his marriage of four years was coming to an end.

"He's deeply saddened by Khloé filing for divorce," a source said. "He knew it was coming and it was only a matter of time. He felt like he gave his all to try and save the marriage, but ultimately he wasn't able to."

Their marriage encountered trouble this past summer when a series of women came forward to claim affairs and Odom's alleged drug use was reported. Allegedly, the final straw was because of a video that was released last month. It featured Odom, who looked to be under the influence of drugs, rapping about cheating on his wife every time she left town. The split is expected to be clean as there is a pre-nup in place and the couple has no children.

Nonetheless, the source said that Odom would always care about Kardashian.

"There will always be a place in his heart for Khloé," the source said. "He will always love her and her family. She has decided and there is nothing more he can do. He has to accept that."
