Rita Ora Joining Cast of 'Fifty Shades of Grey' as Christian Grey's Sister Mia

Rita Ora will be joining 50 Shades of Grey as Christian Grey's sister Mia, Us Weekly reported Monday.

The singer took to social media and announced the news of her casting. The Roc the Life singer has previously appeared in such films as Fast & Furious 6. She made a cameo appearance in the franchise.

Ora will film the movie while making preparations for her forthcoming sophomore album. The 23-year-old British singer also tweeted her excitement about her music. She has three #1 singles in the U.K. and has been trying to break into the U.S. markets, signed under Jay Z’s Roc Nation label.

The movie adaptation of the E.L. James' novel began filming Dec. 1 in Vancouver. The erotic film has Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson as the two leads, Christian Grey and Anastatia Steele. The expected release date of the film is February 2015, years after the book became an international blockbuster.
