Josh Brolin has entered rehab, Us Weekly reported Friday.
Sources told the publication that the 45-year-old actor entered treatment in Northern California. He will be receiving help for substance abuse.
"He realized he needed help and is committed to his sobriety," the source said.
The decision for Brolin to enter rehab comes on the heels of the actor getting involved in multiple bar fights. His last one occurred on Nov 2. TMZ caught the disturbance on tape. Brolin and another man began to throw punches at one another at O'Brien's Irish Pub in Santa Monica, Calif. The dispute was settled with a hug. Earlier in that week, Brolin got into a verbal spat with a taxi cab driver in at a Los Angeles Del Taco drive-thru.
On Nov. 4, Brolin insisted to TMZ that all was well with him. He claimed to be done with drinking and that the incidents he was involved in would not happen again.
"Are you going to be laying off the booze a bit?" TMZ asked. "That's it," Brolin said. "Completely done."
He also expressed regret for the altercations.
