Hunger Games actress Jennifer Lawrence appeared on David Letterman on Wednesday night, Nov.20, and cleared up the rumors about her emergency room trip and revealed she was suffering from stomach troubles, E! News reported.
The star thought the she developed a stomach ulcer. She skipped the LA Catching Fire after-party in order to make a trip to the hospital.
"I just had this really bad pain for, like, three weeks. And you know you can only s**t your pants so many times a day before you go to the emergency room, before you're like 'I need to go to hospital,'" she told Letterman.
She chuckled: "Thought I had an ulcer, but it turns out it was a fulcer.'"
Once she was there, the Oscar winner underwent an endoscopy procedure. "I just did this thing yesterday called an endoscopo-something, where they put you to sleep," she revealed. "And the woman - it's pretty clear when you first meet me, I'm a freakin' head case and I'm crazy - so I'm in there like, 'Ugh, what are these?! What do they mean?! What does that say?!'"
When the anesthesiologist went to work, she recalled, "The last thing I said was, 'I'm paralyzed!'"
While under Lawrence experienced some weird dreams, "I dreamed there was a nuclear bomb that went off...And the first lucid conversation I remember having was about the Kardashians!"
Here's some background about endoscopy procedure which the X-men star experienced.
According to Web MD, endoscopy is a nonsurgical procedure that is used in order to examine the digestive tract of an individual. The procedure requires an endoscope, which is a flexible tube with a light and camera attached to it. The endoscope will be inserted so that the doctor can view pictures of the individual's digestive tract on a colored monitor.
