There were mixed reactions when it was announced that Ben Affleck would be the next Batman. What remains clear at the moment is that Affleck is already transforming his body to play Batman.
In the past few months, there were reports about his buffed-up body while running errands or shooting for his new movie. In fact, it was reported by Us Weekly last August that Affleck has been going to the gym two hours a day in preparation for the role.
On another note, Affleck was asked to refrain from working out too much while filming Gone Girl.
"I'm trying to keep him at the size he's at right now until he's done with us," Trish Summerville, Gone Girl costume designer, told E! News. "I'm sure he's working out but I think for him, he's probably a guy that builds up really quickly so I just kind of asked him if he can stay where he's at right now."
Since last month, there were rumors that he had been hitting the gym always everyday as he was seen with his daughter Violet looking all buffed up.
"He's a really big guy, like he's quite tall," Summerville said. "You don't realize how big he is. He kind of reads smaller on film than he does in real life."
Gone Girl is an adaptation of Gillian Flynn's best-selling novel. It is directed by David Fincher. Affleck costars with Rosamund Pike, Tyler Perry and Neil Patrick Harris. It is scheduled to hit the theatres on Oct. 3, 2014.
