'Days of our Lives' Spoilers: Daniel and Nicole Become a Couple?

Days of Our Lives may be putting the characters of Nicole and Daniel back together, Soap Opera Network reported Tuesday.

The two characters were previously involved on the show but were broken up. Since then, Daniel and Jennifer became a popular pairing but are now on the outs. Shawn Christian, the portrayer of Daniel, told the site that his character may revisit his love affair with Nicole after the two kiss this week.

Christian said that the two get caught up in the moment, but it may possibly lead to more.

"They've grown so close together as people who sincerely care a lot about one another, and they know the worst about each other, and they know the best about each other. So you mix into that melting pot some adrenaline, and the sky is the limit," Christian said.

Arianne Zucker, the actress who plays Nicole, also chimed in. Her character was pregnant with another man's child when they became close.

"Nicole fell for him because he [helped her] on his own. There was no manipulation. He helped her, and the fact that someone helped her without her having to manipulate the situation made her fall for him. How could you not? He became a hero at this point for her," she said.

Christian teased that fans would just have to tune in to see what happened.
