Simon Cowell Purchased an Engagement Ring for Lauren Silverman, Source Says

Simon Cowell has purchased an engagement ring for Lauren Silverman, PEOPLE reported Wednesday.

Sources told the site that the X Factor host is looking to make Silverman his wife. She is currently pregnant with his child and the two have been romantically involved for months now.

"Simon has an engagement ring, but is being secretive about the proposal," a source said. "Simon is flying to the Caribbean for the Christmas holiday. Lauren will join him for parts of the holiday trip. Simon could be planning a special holiday proposal. It seems he will definitely propose." 

The source added that Cowell was also happy about becoming a father. Silverman is expected to give birth to a boy in February 2014.

"He loves feeling the baby kicking and acts very proud that he will be a father," the source said.

The two first became involved while Silverman was still married to a friend of Cowell's. Her divorce from Andrew Silverman was finalized this summer.

"Simon just wanted Lauren to get a quick divorce so they could start their new life together. Simon has mentioned that Andrew had a couple of divorce conditions that are not ideal, but he has not talked about the details," he said.
