Florida Police Arrest George Zimmerman For Domestic Violence Disturbance [MUGSHOT]

George Zimmerman was arrested for a domestic violence disturbance, Think Progress reported Monday.

Zimmerman was arrested by Seminole County law enforcement over a domestic dispute reportedly involving his pregnant. He was taken into custody and submitted to a new mugshot. According to TMZ, Zimmerman's girlfriend is pregnant which would make any charges a felony.

The arrest comes six months after Zimmerman was acquitted of shooting and killing Trayvon Martin in February 2012. The 17-year-old youth was unarmed when he was fatally shot by the former neighborhood watchman. However, a jury ruled that he acted in self defense. Since his acquittal, Zimmerman has continued to run afoul with the law.

In September, Zimmerman was detained by Lake Mary police in Florida after his estranged wife Shellie Zimmerman called the police. During the five minute call, she said that George had threatened the lives of both her and her and father. She further alleged that the 29-year-old hit her father in the nose. Also, Shellie claimed that her spouse had a gun and was making threats towards her. Shellie believed that her father would have a heart attack.
