Ariana Grande has defended Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber, E! News reported Friday.
Cyrus and Bieber have been making headlines for all the wrong reasons for the past few months. Cyrus ditched her wholesome persona of Hannah Montana and created controversy at the MTV VMA Awards. Bieber's antics have included disrespecting the flag of Argentina. Grande felt that the two needed to be left alone in a recent interview with Reuters.
"She's an adult. She can do whatever the hell she wants. Honestly," Grande said of Cyrus.
Grande went on to declare that too many critics of Cyrus were missing the point. The 20-year-old singer felt that her Wrecking Ball peer was simply living her life. She advised others to get lives of their own rather than to focus on Cyrus.
"Worry about bettering your life, not hers. She's fine. Her life is the best that could be right now. You know, that's what bothers me about society and people. It's like, shut up. Shut up!" Grande said.
Grande felt that Bieber was also getting unwarranted bad press. She told Reuters she knew Bieber as a friend. She added that he was entitled to live life as he chose.
"He can do whatever he wants. He's doing the same thing as every other boy in the world, you know. He's just under a microscope and scrutinized by people who don't know him," she said.
