Ciara’s Engagement to Future: All the Details Here

Ciara received one of the best birthday gifts ever: a 15-carat engagement ring from her boyfriend, Future, Us Weekly reported Monday.

The singer was celebrating her 28^th birthday in New York City when the rapper surprised her with a proposal.

"Future surprised Ciara with an engagement ring this weekend, also her birthday weekend, in New York City," said Chris Chambers, the couple's publicist. "The ring, which doubled as a special birthday gift, is a beautiful 15-carat emerald cut diamond designed by Avianne & Co." 

The two have been dating for more than a year now but there was still no wedding date set.

On Sunday, Oct. 27, the R&B singer tweeted about her engagement: "Today Has 2 Be Like One Of The Sweetest Days Of My Life! #TheBestBirthdayEver. If I'm Dreaming I Don't Want To Wake Up..Aaaaaahhh!!!"

In August, the rapper told Hot 97's Angie Martinez that he was ready to get married and settle down with his girlfriend, "I don't get into nothing to get out. We haven't set a date. This the one. I said it before, I said it seven years ago, so for it to come around and happen, it was just meant to be." 

This will be the first marriage for both of them
