Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Engaged: 'KUWK' Star Paid For Ring?

Kim Kardashian is the one who picked out her 15 carot engagement ring, Radar Online reported Wednesday.

Kanye West proposed to Kardashian on Monday evening with a huge sparkler in what was described as a surprise proposal. However, a source told the site that Kardashian knew that the father of her child would propose. In fact, she picked out the ring herself.

Kardashian "told Kanye to get the ring from Lorraine Schwartz because she loves the jeweler's diamonds. She knew the proposal was happening, she just didn't know when it would happen," the source said.

Kardashian's second husband, Kris Humphries, also got her 16.2 carat diamond ring from the same jeweler. He received a discount from the famous jewler on the $2 million bauble. An insider said that Grammy award winning West received a similar offsetting of costs because of the publicity associated with the couple.

"Kanye got a significant deal on the ring just as Kris did because of all the publicity it will get. Before Kim gave the ultimate seal of approval on the sparkler, Kanye looked at over 20 diamonds. The diamond has no flaws and has more sparkle than Kim's previous ring," the source said.
