Goodbye Finn Hudson. The Glee's highly anticipated Cory Monteith tribute episode can be described as emotional, gut-wrenching and heartbreaking, Us Weekly reported.
The episode titled The Quarterback" did not actually reveal how Hudson died and didn't include a funeral. Instead, the storyline was that someone stole Finn's letterman jacket then Mr. Schue asked the Glee members to sing songs for Finn that either reminded them of him or a song he has actually sung before.
The episode began with the Glee cast singing Rent's "Seasons of Love" on the same McKinley High stage that the late Canadian actor once shared with the rest. Puck and Mike Chang all dressed in black returned for the tribute and joined the group as they turned to a face a picture of Hudson dressed in his football uniform from Season 1.
The characters reacted in different ways to the death of Hudson. Kurt wore Finn's varsity jacket, Mr. Schue held back his tears, Puck turned to alcohol, Tina asked for support, Sue made jokes and Santana became enraged enough to shove Sue in an emotional scene.
The Glee cast gave their best performance for the episode. Mercedes sang "Stand By You," Santana sang "If I Die Young," Artie and Sam sang "Fire and Rain" and Puck performed "No Surrender". The most unforgettable number belonged to Lea Michele. She appeared in the last 15 minutes and sang a beautiful version of Bob Dylan's "Make You Feel My Love" in the Glee classroom. "He was my person," the star would later tell Mr. Schue.
But who stole the varsity jacket? In the final scene, the high school music teacher who was the first person to notice Finn's musical potential while singing in the gym shower snuck it home and finally broke down.
