Gia Allemand's Boyfriend Ryan Anderson has broken his silence on her suicide, Us Weekly reported Tuesday.

Anderson gave an interview to the Times-Picayune on Monday, Sept. 30. He said that his life was slowly starting to return to normal following the August death of the Bachelor star. Anderson found his girlfriend hanging by a cord. She was later pronounced dead at the hospital on Aug. 12.

"Every day is a challenge. It helps to be here, my family's with me," he said. "To be with my teammates helps a lot, but it's a roller coaster."

Anderson said that he gave credit to God for helping him get through the death of the 29-year-old.

"I praise God every day to have Him in my life," Anderson said. "It would have been very, very hard to get through these steps if I didn't have Him, to have God, to have Jesus Christ in my life."

Anderson and Allemand dated for two years. However, towards the end of her life, the two were reportedly having problems. Anderson told Allemand that he no longer loved her according to a police report.  Anderson said he was taking his recovery from her death in spurts.

"You know when you're thinking about something and preparing for something and it seems a lot more difficult, but when you go through it, you overcome it, and each step of the way has been something like that," he said.
