Sandra Bullock Discusses Jesse James Divorce in 'Vogue'

Sandra Bullock has opened up about her divorce from Jesse James in the October issue of Vogue, Us Weekly reported Tuesday.

Bullock was on a professional high when her persona life went into a free fall. In 2010, she won the Best Actress Oscar for her role in The Blind Side. Shortly after, it was discovered that her husband of five years, Jesse James, had been cheating on her. More than one woman came forward to allege an affair with James. The two divorced later that year and Bullock adopted a son, Louis, from New Orleans.

Bullock told the publication that she was not thinking about the past. She was content with the way her life was.

We're all where we're supposed to be," Bullock said. "I am exactly where I want to be now. You can't go backward. I'm not going backward. I'm grateful that I'm here, blessed to have what I have. Nobody can be prepared for anything."

Bullock said she was able to find a silver lining in the painful events.  Louis came into her life at the same time her divorce was finalized in June 2010.

"If you end up in a place where you can look back and go, 'It happened, but I'm so lucky to be sitting where I am sitting," she said.
