Dina Lohan DUI Arrest: Linday's Mom Feels Like 'Parent Trapped'

Dina Lohan has likened her DUI arrest to that of a parent trapped, PEOPLE reported Friday.

Lohan was pulled over on the Northern State Parkway by New York State Police around 11 pm Thursday night. The 50-year-old was allegedly going 77mph in a 55 in her white BMW.  The cops said that she appeared intoxicated and her blood alcohol level ultimately proved twice the legal limit. Her BAC was .20, more than the permitted legal limit of .08.

Lohan's attorney released a statement to Entertainment Tonight about Lohan's legal troubles. Lohan's character was emphasized and it was stated that despite this lapse in judgment, she was a good person.

"Dina Lohan is a good person. Her life has been dedicated to her four children. She has worked hard her entire life and she has been a 'Parent Trapped' with the entire world watching her in a fishbowl with murky water due to no fault of her own.

"She appreciates the grave seriousness of this matter and is mindful that the Nassau County District Attorney considers these types of cases a top priority. But as an attorney with 45 years of experience, I am confident that as a first time offender, with absolutely no prior record, that the Judicial System will treat Dina Lohan with even-handed fairness."
