George Zimmerman has lost his lawyer following a domestic incident with his wife Shellie, ABC News reported Tuesday.

Mark O'Mara was one of the lawyers who successfully helped George be acquitted in the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in July. O'Mara released a statement that he would not assist George in any charges that he may face following a domestic dispute with his estranged wife.

O'Mara will still continue to represent George in matters related to Trayvon. George is suing NBC and there are plans to censure his prosecution.  However, O'Mara will not offer his services in conjunction to the events which took place Monday.

George was detained by Lake Mary police in Florida after Shellie called the police. During the five minute call, she said that George had threatened the lives of both her and her and father. She further alleged that the 29-year-old hit her father in the nose. Also, Shellie claimed that her spouse had a gun and was making threats towards her. Shellie believed that her father would have a heart attack.

Shellie told police that George destroyed an ipad which had captured footage of the argument. Police are attempting to put it back together.

"No one has seen the video on the iPad. It's in a couple of different pieces. Shellie was the one filming on the iPad," Zach Hudson, Lake Mary police spokesperson, said.

"It's either going to be George or Shellie who will be prosecuted if anybody is going to be prosecuted," Hudson said.
