Jessica Simpson Envied Kate Middleton Pregnancy, Empathized With Kim Kardashian

Jessica Simpson was envious of Kate Middleton during her pregnancy and sympathized with Kim Kardashian, US Weekly reported Thursday.

Simpson, Kardashian and the Duchess of Cambridge all found themselves expecting at the same time this summer. Kardarshian and Simpson gave birth in June and Middleton in July. Simpson said she felt for the way Kardashian was maligned for her weight gain. Simpson was criticized for her pregnancy weight gain when she was pregnant with her first child Maxwell in 2012.

"I felt for Kim -- I knew exactly what she was going through," Simpson said. "I send a lot of love her way, and I know she'll come back with a bang."

Simpson said that pregnant women should be allowed to eat as much as they want since they are giving  birth to new life. In her mind, their every indulgence should be allowed.

"I will never understand why people give pregnant women such a hard time," she said. "We are creating a human life: I think we get every excuse in the world to eat a doughnut!"

Simpson spoke of her fondness for Middleton. She remarked about being just like other women who were in awe with the way Middleton carried herself while pregnant.

"Kate Middleton was glowing throughout her pregnancy," she said. "A lot of pregnant moms were looking at her like, 'How do you do that?!'"
