Scarlett Johansson Is Engaged

Scarlett Johansson is engaged to journalist Romain Dauriac, according to PEOPLE.

"They're engaged and very happy," a source says of the couple. Marcel Pariseau, her representative, said, "I can confirm that Scarlett and Romain are engaged. They haven't chosen a date for the wedding." 

Dauriac is the former editor of the French magazine Clark. Dauriac proposed to Johansson about a month ago and the ring is a vintage Art Deco style. Earlier this week, the 28-year-old actress was seen wearing a diamond ring while promoting her new movie Under the Skin at the Venice Film Festival.

In July, her rep shut down the engagement rumors, stating that the former Mrs. Ryan Reynolds was "not engaged or close to being engaged." Any diamonds or rubies she was wearing were "simply a piece of jewelry," according to E! News.

Johansson's was married to Ryan Reynolds but got divorced in 2011.

Last year, the Avengers actress told Vogue magazine that their divorce was "comically amicable." However, it did not mean that it was a happily ever after story. "Of course it's horrible," she told the magazine. "It was devastating. It really throws you. You think that your life is going to be one way, and then, for various reasons or whatever, it doesn't work out."
