Lady Gaga is set to pull double duty as host and performer on Saturday Night Live this season, TV Line reported Thursday.
A representative said that the line up for the new season is still being finalized but a source said that the Judas singer would most likely appear in November. It would coincide in November as her album Artpop is released on the 11th of the month.
If Gaga were to appear, it would be her third appearance overall. She was a musical guest in 2009 and 2011. Ryan Reynolds and Justin Timberlake were the respective hosts. She also performed skits with Timberlake and Madonna.
Gaga has not yet commented on her return to the NBC staple, but she has opened up about having been a recluse in the aftermath of her hip surgery in February. The release of her new single Applause in August was a return to the spotlight for the 27-year-old. She told the Guardian that she intentionally wanted a media blackout.
"I hid in my house," Gaga said in a recent interview with The Guardian. "I hid a lot ... to preserve my image as a superstar to my fans. I don't mean I am a superstar, I mean that they only ever see me at my best. And it really drove me crazy."
